RESIDENTIAL ROOFING OPTIONS
Our Roof Advisors help you choose a material, style and color that fits your budget, your home's architecture and Central Texas weather.

MATERIAL MATTERS
Choosing a roofing material comes down to budget, climate, architectural style and personal preference. When it is time for a new roof, you want a product that lasts, installed by a team that knows how to do it right.
About 20 years, lifetime material warranty with Golden Pledge, Class 4 options.
About 20 years, lifetime plus a 5 to 10 year hail warranty.
40 to 50 plus years, 30 to 50 year manufacturer warranty.
30 plus years, 50-year limited warranty, will not dent or crack.
Asphalt shingles, the most common roofing material, provide affordability and versatility with options for different colors and styles. Metal roofing offers exceptional durability, energy efficiency and a sleek modern appearance, while also being lightweight and fire-resistant. Wood shingles or shakes provide natural beauty, though they require more maintenance. Tile roofing, in clay or concrete, offers timeless appeal and excellent durability but is heavier and more expensive. Slate is one of the most durable options available, with a higher price tag.
The materials we install are chosen for how they perform in the Central Texas climate: hail, high winds, intense summer UV and dramatic temperature swings. GAF Timberline HDZ is our most-installed residential shingle, with Class 4 impact-resistant options and GAF LayerLock technology for wind resistance. TAMKO shingles with HailGuard carry a true hail warranty, not just an impact rating.
For homeowners who want the longest service life, standing seam metal offers 40 to 50 plus year lifespans and excellent storm performance. F-Wave synthetic shingles give the look of slate or shake with a Class 4 impact rating and a 50-year limited warranty, and tile and specialty materials suit Hill Country architecture and custom builds.
A three-tab composite shingle is typically the least expensive to install. Material cost increases with heavier architectural shingles and specialty shingles with impact resistance or a reflective, cool surface, while labor costs are generally similar across composite shingles.
Labor is higher for metal. Metal roofs are very popular in Texas and come as exposed fastener, snap lock and mechanically fastened systems. Heavier gauges and premium color finishes cost more than galvalume. Standing seam panels need more parts but hide the fasteners, while exposed fastener systems cost less upfront and need more maintenance as fasteners loosen and grommets wear.

ROOFING QUESTIONS
STILL HAVE QUESTIONS?
Talk with our team directly, or book a visit and we will walk you through it in person.
For most homes we recommend GAF Timberline HDZ or TAMKO HailGuard. For maximum durability, standing seam metal and F-Wave synthetic both perform exceptionally well against hail and heat.
Cost depends on the size of your home, the material you choose, the pitch and complexity of the roof, and whether there is damage to the decking. The best way to get an accurate number is a free inspection and an itemized written quote with no hidden fees.
