How solar shingles work
The GAF Timberline Solar Energy Shingle is the first nailable solar shingle. Instead of mounting panels on racks above an existing roof, the solar shingles are installed as part of the roof itself, so the roof and the energy system are one integrated product.
Why the installer matters
The GAF Timberline Solar Shingle is installed only by a few selected GAF Master Elite contractors. Texas Traditions Roofing is one of them and holds the Certified GAF Solar Shingle Installer designation. Because our own roofing crew installs both the asphalt shingles and the solar shingles, you have one installer and one point of accountability.

Materials and timeline confirmed.
You choose your color and material and we lock in your installation date, so you know exactly when the crew arrives.
Installation.
Most residential replacements take one to three days. We protect your landscaping, clean up daily and run a magnetic nail sweep.
Walkthrough and warranty.
We walk the property with you, register your manufacturer warranty, including the GAF Golden Pledge when applicable, and hand over documentation.
